First Week At Atlanta

My first week at Atlanta has given new perspectives to look at life... Before I started for US, I reinforced my resolution to look at things only in positive way..

So let me list down things that quite impressed me here:

1) Easy go attitude of the people here
2) Traffic rules
3) Road side gardens
4) Non extensive working hours
5) Buses and Bus drivers
6) Door keeper at my office.. - He has got quite a personality- He remembers every single person entering office and his way of striking a pleasant conversation with anyone entering office in the morning is amazing. Being greeted by him makes my day at office with a cool start..
7) Interiors at Post office and banks....
Let me list more for coming weekends..

Yes I think that's the same things which striked me when I came here. What I really like is the courtesy that people show. It's inbuilt I think. We sure have a lot to learn and imbibe.

Two things about American culture has impressed me the most.
1) They are very professional and they dont mince words.
2) Their work-life balance. While they work pretty hard, they always give priority to their personal life.

I have never been to the US. But a couple of things that really struck me. 1) People are very professional. 2) They have a very good work-life balance. Their personal life is more important to them than their job.

Hey Ramji,
I agree with you.. But one point to add - sadly I can see the same person who lived here, on returning back home, forgets all the good things imbibed while staying in a foreign country..
Not a good trend for the next generation :-)
