I thank God

When you jump on me and play fresh every midnight
When you show where it hurts and make a cry baby sound
When you drag me outside and ask me to take you for a round
When you eat chocolate and do a make-up on your chubby cheeks

When you tell new words that I teach you and giggle happily
When you hold my hair tight and pull it playfully
When you know that I am going out and refuse to part
When you dance to your favourite tune in merriment

When you hug me tight on seeing a stranger near
When you are excited and hug me on my return everyday
When you sleep in peace after a tiresome day of play
I thank God and never wish for anything more!!
